Here are the tech predictions for 2012
1. Augmented Reality - Mobile Augmented Reality will witness exponential growth in 2012. Called ‘reality with style’, this puts a virtual view on top of real world. For instance, instead of actually looking for a location of a restaurant in your neighborhood, you can use Yelp to find out its location and reviews for it, with other nearby restaurants also shown on the top of your screen. Visiongain says that 25 percent of downloaded apps will have some kind of Mobile Augmented Reality. Mobile phones (smartphones) and tablets for high end users will be 3G or 4G ready with large screen devices, high definition clarity with not one but two multi-mega pixel cameras.
2. BlackBerry – RIM looks grim in 2012. Services were dented in 2011 and even now RIM (Research in Motion)makers of BlackBerry do not show signs of technical advancements as shown by Google Android, Microsoft and Apple
3. Apple TV - There are speculations that Apple will come with iApple TV in 2012. It may be a stand-alone television set, an extension of the current Apple TV box or an iMac with added Apple TV features. Whatever it is, come autumn and US will know.
4. Facebook will remain the number 1 social network site - Google Plus will remain as one of the best products of the search engine giant.
